Once Again

The Laguna Education Foundation, Laguna Department of Education and Partners for Success are sponsoring FASFA Sunday. This event is geared toward High School seniors, parents and returning college students. It is an event, where we are able to assist in filling out the FAFSA form.

Need help completing and sending o the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? Join us on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Laguna Middle School computer lab. Several local college specialists will be on hand to assist you with the FAFSA and answer questions related to applying to college.

If you would like to volunteer please call Laguna Education Foundation.

    What is required?

  • 2011 IRS 1040 Tax Returns
  • W-2 forms (parents or students)
  • and other 2011 income and benefits information

We will be hosting this event at the Laguna Middle School Computer Lab.

New Mexico Gas Company Native American Scholarship Program

Mission Statement

  • The mission of the New Mexico Gas Company, Inc, (NMGC) Native American Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance that will support post-secondary education among Native American students. NMGC's scholarship opportunities are afforded to Native American students residing in New Mexico who have demonstrated a desire to engage in their future through continuning education.

Scholarship Awards Committee

  • The New Mexico Gas Company, Inc. Scholarship Awards Committee has the responsibility for recieving, reviewing and judging the applications. The Committee will be comprised of five (5) members as stated in the Committee Charter.

Additional forms can be picked-up from the LDoE Administrative Building, LEF or Higher Ed offices.

Attention Graduating Seniors of the Pueblo of Laguna!!!

Application Deadline: Friday May 27, 2011 at 5:00 pm

One high school graduate, Class of 2011, will be selected to receive a scholarship award of up to $2,000.00 dollars per academic year.

Eligible Applicants:

  • Be a 2011 High School graduate planning to attend a regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
  • Be an enrolled Laguna Pueblo Tribal Member with ID number.
  • Submit a completed Governor’s scholarship application with all completed essay questions by the deadline date.
  • Submit a LEF Higher Education application with all required documents by the deadline date.

Additional forms can be picked-up from the counselors’ office, or at the LDoE Administrative Building, LEF or Higher Ed offices.
